Reid has split his career between the left and right coasts of Canada.  In a typical year he writes, composes music, teaches singing and creates theatre with students in the schools through the ArtsSmarts program. 2014 was a busy year with the creation of ‘Where Ya From? Beyond Tolerance‘ a play about pluralism written with ‘Kinship’. We plan to tour schools again in the Spring of 2015.

Through ArtsSmarts, he created ‘Visit To Medialand’ with Grade 9’s: a show about gender roles  and the media. Also check out a comic video called ‘Cows‘ using the paintings of George Anderson (vimeo.com/111224128).

Other works include: ‘The Last World Tour: A Green Comedy‘ (2010), ‘S.H.A.R.K‘ (2009) for Parks Canada and ‘An Infant In Your Arms’, a song cycle of neo-classical settings of poems by Hafiz/Daniel Ladinsky.

Hi Reid, I like your web site, nice’n clean but also interesting, great to hear the songs. I’m enjoying our co-creating journey for Kinship and look forward to what will evolve. Thanks, Grace

Dear Tylar: What a prompt corespondent I am! I was very glad to hear you are well and may it continue. I went to hear C Lee sing with the Phoenix Women’s Choir several years ago in Lunenburg and we had a great reunion afterwards. The Maritimes are a wonderful place to live and work and visit. Please call if you ever get out this way (902-624-8269). Laurel and I live in the country by the ocean and I have honed my wood chopping skills since our days rehearsing on Vancouver Island! All the best, Reid
